Itinerary

Day 1, Oct. 4, 2019

Arrive in your own time at Cancun Airport, where your private transport will whisk you an hour down the coastline of the Mexican Riviera to the incredible and all-inclusive Secrets Akumal Resort and Spa. Right on the water, your resort offers you every wonderful beach activity and experience, including an 18-000 square foot spa where we will prebook your services (price per service). Your junior suite has many amenities and plenty of room for you and your roommate, or splurge and book one all to yourself - either way, the ocean view is just perfect.

This evening, our Welcome Dinner at the hotel will give you time to meet and greet with your THEO Family, and taste some of Mexico’s delicious cuisine. For you vegetarians and gluten-free folks, the restaurants on site all have these options and we will help you arrange for your requirements in advance. All premium alcoholic drinks will be included while at the resort, along with fresh juices, teas, water, etc. for those who prefer.

Day 2, Oct. 5, 2019

This morning at 10AM, after a sumptuous buffet breakfast, meet your THEO Family for Orientation and your first THEO session with Sheila, Marcus and the THEO team. Hear what THEO has to say about this remarkable area of the world, and listen to what THEO will share for your own personal journey. The session, which will be three hours, includes coffee, tea, and water throughout.

The rest of the day is at leisure. Relax on the beach, go into one of the neighboring towns, or just enjoy a spa treatment. This evening, why not consider room service? After all, it’s included, 24-hours a day.

Day 3, Oct. 6, 2019

Before dawn, we will gather on the beach for an oceanfront experience with a Mayan Shaman. Drumming and chanting will bestow on us an authentic blessing by a true local, and this special ceremony will further anchor our intentions as the sun rises to help us greet the morning.

After breakfast, our next THEO Session will deepen your experience and give you plenty to think about. The three hour session includes coffee, tea, and water throughout.

Join members of the group for lunch, or take time on your own. The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps more beach time, or book one of the many resort activities, such as snorkeling with the sea turtles of Akumal. After all, we are right on the beach!

This evening, the group will meet together for dinner in one of the resort restaurants.

Day 4, Oct. 7, 2019

Today, take a full-day tour to Chichen Itza, whose magnificent Mayan ruins are one of the Seven New Wonders of the World. As our private coach glides along on its three-hour trip, our bilingual guide will tell us about Chichen Itza, one of the most impressive structures in Mesoamerica, and share about this pre-Columbian cultural region, extending approximately from central Mexico to Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and northern Costa Rica.

Your exploration of Chichen Itza starts at the foot of the awe-inspiring Temple of Kukulcan, a step pyramid known as El Castillo. There are lots of myths and legends to witness (remember to clap once in front of the Temple of Kukulcan to hear the chirping of a sacred bird). You'll also get a chance to view the magnificent El Caracol temple, which the Mayan astronomers used as an observatory. Nearby are the Nunnery and the Monastery, intricately decorated temples that housed Chichen Itza’s clergy.

Later, discover the Ball Court, where the Mayans used to play the ancient 'pitz' ball game. Additionally, explore the Temple of Warriors, several columned structures, and smaller temples whose stairways have the same two-snake motif as El Castillo.

After a lunch buffet at Pueblo Maya, a local restaurant known for its Yucatan cuisine, you’ll swap one wonder for another, visiting one of the area’s naturally beautiful cenotes, a freshwater sinkhole located near Chichen Itza. Bring your bathing suit! You can dive into the crystalline waters of the cenote or simply take some great pictures of this dream-like setting.

The coach will return us to Secrets Akumal in time for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 5, Oct. 8, 2019

After another delicious breakfast, our third THEO session will give you time to ask personal questions and hear more from your THEO Family. The three hour session includes coffee, tea, and water throughout.

The rest of the day is yours! Perhaps another spa treatment is in order? Or consider gathering some of your THEO Family for an optional excursion to Xcaret, a magnificent eco-park located nearby? Or there’s always the beach once more!

Tonight our group will meet together for dinner in one of the resort restaurants to exchange insights about our adventures.

Day 6, Oct. 9, 2019

This morning after an early buffet breakfast, our bilingual guide will accompany us through the ruins of Tulum. You'll learn about Tulum’s history and customs, marvel at the ancient structures rising from a grassy plain running up to the coastline atop a cliff. From there, you'll be looking out toward the vivid turquoise colors of the Mexican Caribbean.

It’s an archaeologist's dream, with beautifully preserved structures and a rich social history, one of the last cities that the Mayan people built and lived in. Feel the bygone days come alive again as you begin to explore the different ruins Tulum has to offer.

Walk up the pathway to the top of the cliff to see 'El Castillo' ('The Castle'), often referred to as 'The Lighthouse' because it guided incoming ships. Take time to see the partially restored mural at the 'Templo de las Pinturas' ('Temple of Paintings'), where you can admire what’s left of original Mayan murals that adorned the temple. These and other highlights of one of the last Mayan cities will surely impress you.

You can also use some of your free time to swim in one of the most beautiful spots on the Riviera Maya — right by the ruins. The pristine Caribbean waters, and amazing views of the temple from the beach below, make this a must on any visit to Tulum.

When our half-day excursion is finished, our air-conditioned coach will take us back to Secrets Akumal.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Another spa treatment? Or something more active? Consider a bike tour to the Yal-ku Lagoon or an opportunity to Meet the Chefs, which includes a kitchen tour and appetizer sampling!

Day 7, Oct. 10, 2019

Enjoy a delicious breakfast, then meet for our final THEO Session with the whole group. What secrets of the Universe will THEO reveal this time? Bask in the energies of this wonderful channeling and ask your final burning questions. The three hour session includes coffee, tea, and water throughout.

This evening, our wonderful Farewell Dinner will be one final opportunity to break bread with your THEO Family and exchange stories and amazing memories of another THEO Adventure!

Day 8, Oct. 11, 2019

Today is our departure - we have arranged a private transfer for you and any other members of the group who will be leaving at the same time. Take home your memories and downloads from THEO to transform your life and your future.
