Begin the morning of another unforgettable day in Bali with a hearty breakfast. Afterward, your guide and a rugged Land Rover Defender will greet you. In groups of four, embark on this robust SUV and set out for a riveting exploration of Bali’s finest offerings.

Venture into the heart of the island, leaving the paved highways for quaint country lanes and tracks. Revel in the passing panorama of Balinese villages and verdant rice paddies as the driver adeptly maneuvers with our Land Rover caravan. Enjoy the sprawling fields around Mount Batukaru, pristine land that often gets muddy, lending an extra thrill to the drive.

Throughout your Land Rover Bali tour, you’ll make frequent stops to experience hidden treasures of the island. You’ll get to visit a traditional farmhouse, hot mineral springs, and fragrant tropical gardens abundant with spices. February 13th

Start your day by boarding our air-conditioned coach for Besakih Temple, considered the ‘Mother Temple’ in this island of 10,000 temples, a final opportunity to worship in the Balinese way. Embark on a scenic drive through the delightful Balinese countryside to reach Mount Agung, against whose sacred slopes Besakih Temple finds its home. It offers you a chance to experience one of Bali’s most significant spiritual destinations. Your guides will demonstrate the Balinese style of performing prayers as you experience the inner temple with the locals.

Within the temple grounds, your guides will offer a special tribute of flowers and fruits to the temple, following which they’ll lead a prayer in the main temple — a privilege ordinarily not granted to regular tourists.

Afterwards, indulge in a buffet lunch at the Mahagiri mountainside restaurant, complemented by captivating panoramic views.

On your return, make a stop at Bali Budaya to witness a wood-carving demonstration, thereby immersing in another renowned Balinese craft, before getting back to the Maya. Spend your evening either exploring Ubud or unwinding with some relaxing spa time.

This evening, enjoy your farewell dinner at the The Tempayan at Tanah Gajah. Begin with cocktails and a stroll around the tranquil grounds at sunset, when you will be treated to an “up close and personal” Kichek Dance, the most vibrant of the Balinese dances. Then delight in an authentic Balinese meal right in the heart of the rice paddies of Ubud, with cocktails and wine included, too. Artisans and Crafts

In Bali, everyone has both a vocation, and an avocation, and locals have a long history of learning their art handed down from their ancestors, creating entire castes of artisans.  Unique experiences in Bali allow us to purchase directly from some of these amazing artists, including a special line of silver jewelry, a batik studio, a wood carving family at their own private home compound, and a stunning art gallery filled with every kind of local painting, of which there are five specific categories.  Even if you are not usually a shopper, there is something to admire here for everyone.
